Hello — I’m Piyush.

I live in Hyderabad and build tools for learning, privacy, and public accountability. Most are free and need no account. The ones that publish numbers say exactly where each one comes from.

Why

Information the public paid for should never be hard to read. A court finding, a budget line, the cost of an answer from an AI: each should be one click from its source, and free to check.

I build in the space between public data and the people it concerns, with free tools that need no account and show where every figure came from.

Now

Right now I’m building Krutrim Mulyankan (कृत्रिम मूल्यांकन), a free desktop app for finding the AI that works for you. Export your chat history, let the app find the answers your AI got wrong, and turn them into a personal test that every other model can take — with the cost of each answer in rupees. The site also explains six published Indian-language AI benchmarks, with their dates and limits.

I also run Data Libertarian, public registers of the Indian state, with 2,697 court and agency records in one place. It records court findings against public servants, prosecutions for speech and for crimes with no victim, penalties on peaceful economic activity, the businesses the state owns and the money it spends. Every entry names the court or agency that decided it, and every figure cites the document it came from.

I’m also starting to contribute to open-source software, mostly to Omarchy, the Linux desktop I build on, and to Hermes Agent, Nous Research’s open-source AI agent.

Smaller things

  • GTA Nanded — an open-world browser game on the real streets of Nanded.
  • Hyderabad Reads — the shared bookshelf of a weekend book club in Hyderabad.
  • Oxford The Global School — the website of a CBSE school in Nanded.
  • Typeflow — a typing trainer where every test is a stanza of poetry.
  • Wordflow — fifteen-question vocabulary tests in everyday English or the language of AI.
  • Dropwell — a falling-block puzzle, and the project that got this site started.
  • Libby — an Android app that runs a language model entirely on your phone. Not released yet.

This site

Plain HTML and CSS with a few lines of JavaScript, generated from two JSON files by a small build script and hosted on Vercel. It is set in Inter Tight, served from this domain. Visits are counted with Google Analytics, with its advertising features switched off.

Software agents can skip the HTML: there is a short map, the full text, JSON, and a Markdown version of every page.

Open source, where I’m contributing next.

I’m starting to contribute to open-source software, mostly to two projects.
